Keyboard first
Built for hands that never leave the keys
Every chord in the idiom of the platform you're on — and the shell's own control keys always pass straight through, because a terminal that swallows Ctrl+C is not a terminal.

Why Ctrl ⇧ off macOS? Because a bare Ctrl+key already belongs to the shell — Ctrl C interrupts, Ctrl D is EOF, Ctrl R is reverse-search. Taking those would break the terminal to decorate the app around it, so FigyTerm does what GNOME Terminal, Konsole and Windows Terminal do. The code editor is the exception: no shell has focus inside it, so the usual editor chords are free to mean what they mean everywhere else.
Learn six of them and you'll stop reaching for the mouse
⌘T, ⌘D, ⌘R, ⌘⇧E, ⌘⇧P and Tab. The rest you'll pick up when you need them.
